FacebookThis May, Connie Nutter will be celebrating her 30th year of marriage to the man of her dreams.
She is a mother of two adult daughters, Tiffany 28 and Aimee 23, and “Gran'ma” to her 4 year old granddaughter.
AbbaCare Inc. recognized Connie as their 2006 “Volunteer of the Year”.
In 2011, Connie resigned her 10-years of service with Abba Care to pour more of her time and efforts into
grassroots mental health advocacy, education and supports.
“The tool of advocacy aids me in feeling less hopeless and less
helpless when faced with mental health crisis on a personal level.”
Connie is a peer specialist and High-Fidelity Wraparound Parent Support Partner.
In 2012, Connie began a community-based peer and family support company:
Beyond the Façade Investments, LLC dba SPARKLE Family Support Partners.
Recipient of the 2013 J. Donald Shockey, Jr Award for Excellence in Volunteer Management in
recognition of being a dedicated, “Hands-On” mentor to volunteer staff.”
